Types of Eczema & Symptoms
There are several types of Eczema: atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, dyshidrotic eczema, nummular eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, and stasis dermatitis. Overall, eczema is very common
and in many cases, it’s completely manageable. According to NationalEczema.org, over 30 million Americans have some form of eczema. Eczema can range from mild, moderate, and severe. And it’s most common for babies and children to develop on their face, particularly on the cheeks and chin. Symptoms can be different from case to case.
Symptoms to be aware of:
● Dry, sensitive skin
● Red, inflamed skin
● Very bad itching
● Dark-colored patches of skin
● Rough, leathery, or scaly patches of skin
● Oozing or crusting
● Areas of swelling
You may only face a few of these symptoms. You could face flare-ups or symptoms could go away entirely.

The most popular question people have in regards to eczema is whether or not it is contagious. Simply, it is not. You can’t “catch” it. The exact cause of Eczema is unknown, however, it is believed that the people who develop eczema have a combination of genes and environmental triggers. According to NationalEczema.org, when an irritant or allergen “switches on” the immune system, skin cells don’t behave as they should causing an eczema flare-up.
What are the treatments?
There is no cure for eczema but there are treatments. Treatments include over-the-counter (OTC) remedies, prescription topical medications including topical steroids, phototherapy, immunosuppressants, and biologic drugs. Many people with eczema find success with specific natural and alternative treatments. You can manage flare-ups by:
- Knowing your triggers so you can avoid exposure
- Implement a daily bathing and moisturizing routine (this is where Dr. Doug’s comes into play)
- Use OTC and prescription medication consistently and as prescribed
How can Dr. Doug’s help?
Dr. Doug's is now offering an toolkit" class="editor-rtfLink" rel="noopener noreferrer" title="Dr. Doug's Eczema Toolkit">Eczema Toolkit specifically because of customers; we initially didn’t know our balms would help with eczema. We took our customers’ feedback from previous reviews, saw the growing trend of testimonials, and decided to spend some significant time to better research and understand this skin condition. We used what we learned to create a standout solution with the Eczema Toolkit.
Here are 5 reasons we think you’ll love it:
- No steroid cream instead of more.
If you hate how often you’re using steroid cream, you’re not alone. We’ve heard many complaints about it. Even though the creams were helpful there were 2 complaints we heard often. 1) The relief didn’t last and you’d often have to apply many times a day 2) It bleaches the skin with prolonged use.
We found our Original Miracle Balm has helped to almost eliminate the need for steroid cream in some and helps soothe eczema irritation faster and longer. Here’s what one of our customers said...
“We hated how often we were using steroid cream on our daughter's arms & legs and a friend suggested Miracle Balm. We were so pleasantly surprised at how well it keeps her skin calm and has almost eliminated her need for the steroid cream.”

Please remember, individual results may vary but we hope you experience similar relief!
- You get 100% organic ingredients without any of the chemical irritants.
Many customers wanted to choose an all-natural, organic treatment. With the Eczema Toolkit, this is possible. We use 100% natural, organic ingredients with no chemical irritants. Our Original Miracle Balms and the Charcoal Soap include essential oils that cool, calm and clear irritated skin.
- The organic essential oils are anti-inflammatory.
Depending on each person's individual “triggers” inflammation is produced. For many people with eczema, this inflammation is what causes the red, itchy, and painful skin symptoms that can turn any ordinary day into a day in hell (their words, not mine).
For this reason, we chose anti-inflammatory oils to put in the Eczema Toolkit. You can now help ease the pain and relieve the itching a bit more. This also helps you to move more comfortably and sleep a little bit better at night.
- You can detoxify your skin.
Accompanying the Original Miracle Balm is the Charcoal Soap that’ll detoxify your skin. Now you can wash your hands, elbows, face, and other areas with a soap that cleans the skin and keeps irritants out.
- You can moisturize your skin without the greasy itchy feeling.
With our Eczema Toolkit, we wanted to provide a quick-relief, healing, and long-lasting moisturizer. We were able to accomplish this by creating a balm that replenishes the skin barrier for better hydration and rubs in without the greasy feel.
Because of these five reasons, and that it's Dermatologist tested and approved (Bonus), the Eczema Toolkit is the perfect combo to soothe eczema in your family. And for this week only, the price is the most cost-effective it will ever be.
